ABOUT ME

Eva Lichtwald

COUPLES THERAPIST · COACH · BUSINESS PSYCHOLOGIST (M.Sc.)

───────────────────────

I have worked for a long time in personnel development and organizational consulting in corporations — close to people who function well on the outside but are driven by completely different things on the inside.

I am also familiar with the exhaustion of couples and parents who are juggling a lot externally — and barely have time to reconnect internally.

Today I support couples and individuals who feel that more is possible.

My Journey

Coaching and consulting have been part of my professional practice since 2009 — not as a trend, but as an approach that has shaped everything I do.

For many years I worked in personnel development and organisational consulting in corporate environments.

The same question kept coming up: how do people manage to navigate change, conflicting demands and relationships — both professionally and personally?

Over time it became clear to me that many of these questions have less to do with strategies than with relationships. With partnerships. With unspoken expectations. With one's relationship to oneself.

That was the moment I decided to pursue these questions as my main profession.

My Approach

I am less interested in who is right. I am more interested in what happens between people — and what possibilities emerge when we look more closely.

A conversation does not need to provide answers straight away. But it can help to understand connections more clearly, make entrenched patterns visible and discover new room to act.

Personal

Many of the questions that bring people to my practice arise in different forms in my own life too.

How do we stay connected to each other without losing ourselves? How do we find our place between closeness, responsibility and independence? How do we shape an everyday life in which the demands of work, family and friends — and the desire for meaning — can all have space at the same time?

Because relationships interest me not only professionally. I am myself a partner, mother, daughter — and a twin. I know closeness and friction, connection and independence from my own life. I know the security and the spirit of a large corporate environment — and the freedom of a professional reorientation. I have lived in six countries and travelled to over seventy — and experienced the richness of living abroad. And I know at the same time how strong the longing for home, belonging and rootedness can be.

These experiences have broadened my perspective on people, relationships and the paths lives take — and shown me how important it is to replace quick judgements with genuine curiosity.

After many years in Berlin, I am now back in the Rhine-Main region.
