EXPATS · FOR ORGANISATIONS
Assignment success begins at home.

Early terminations rarely come down to the professional brief.
Studies show that family-related reasons — in particular the situation of the accompanying partner — are among the most frequently cited factors in premature assignment endings. (Cartus Mobility Report)
Accompanying partners are often overlooked in relocation processes. Yet they frequently determine whether an assignment succeeds — or ends early.

What I offer
I support assignees and their partners — individually or as a couple — before, during and after the assignment.
As a business psychologist (M.Sc.) and certified systemic counsellor and coach, I know both sides: I have spent many years supporting relocation processes for senior executives in large corporations — and have lived abroad myself in several countries.
In individual and couples sessions I work with proven coaching and counselling methods — solution-oriented, confidential and without an interface to the organisation. What is discussed stays between me and the clients.
This offer is aimed at organisations that want to provide genuine support for their employees and their families — and who understand that assignment success means more than a smooth move, a cultural briefing or a language course.
────────────────────────────────────────
Why it pays off
Early termination is costly.
Direct costs — repatriation, replacement, onboarding — are estimated at between $250,000 and over $1 million per assignment.
Indirect costs from knowledge loss, reputational damage and reduced team morale add to this.
Family stress is one of the most common risk factors. When the accompanying partner does not settle in well, the likelihood of early termination doubles.
Organisations that introduced targeted coaching for their assignees reported a significant reduction in termination rates — and a multiple return on their investment.
Investing in the stability of the relationship and family is therefore not merely an act of care. It makes business sense.
